New dedicated server!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know that within the next 2 weeks, Xplicit Clan is going to have a permenant home. Thats right! We are getting a dedicated to server to run the website, game servers, and teamspeak servers on! So, If something is down within the next couple of weeks, we are probably in the process of switching to the new server. keep an eye out on this website as well as the forums for new IP’s! Lag in the GunGame Server

I’ve been in the gg server a lot lately and am starting to notice more and more lag. Many other people have noticed this as well and have brought it to my attention. I have brought it to Mercy’s attention and we are trying to get it resolved with the company the server is with. We do, however, need your help. From now on, we need anybody that is playing in the server to write down: the map, how many people are in the server, the time (EST please), and roughly how many times it happened. I know it’s kind of a pain in the ass, but in order to fix this problem to maximize your gaming experience, we need you to do this. The last thing we need you to do is to run a trace in the DOS command prompt. To do this simply bring up your cmd and type: tracert 75.102.38.107 and hit enter. After the trace is complete, highlight the trace from start to finish, copy and paste it, and email it to one of us (email will be posted at the bottom). It would be most benificial if it could be done in the middle of a big lag spike (like when it freezes for 20 seconds) to get the most accurate data. Again, I know we are asking a lot but we appreciate the help and support! Thanks guys!

A bit about my rig: I did this build in 2008 and originally started with a gtx 260 for my graphics card. Recently I upgraded my graphics to the GTX 295 which is a dual core card and has 1792Mb of dedicated memory, I see awesome frame rates! I highly suggest the GTX 200 series cards to anyone. The mother board has three pci-e 2.0 slots so it is upgradable to a tri-sli setup of video cards. Added to the mother board I choose to go with a top of the line intel dual core chip and overclock it. Originally my chip was running at 3.16Ghz but with a very simple overclock I achieved 3.825Ghz. I was able to overclock the e8500 over 4.25Ghz and have stable cpu-z shots to prove so however I felt that 3.825Ghz was a safer long term speed. To cool the cpu I used a massive heatsink by Xigmatec and I couldn’t be any happier with the results. With my overclock my chip rarely goes above 45 degrees celcius. The corsair ram I have is very heavy duty and is a breeze to overclock as well. The ram came with an optional cooling fan which I installed and can be seen in the pictures below. There isn’t much to say about the other parts. I power everything with a Corsair SLI ready 750 Watt power supply which is more than enough to power everything in the box. My drive space is standard except for the fact that I have nearly 2 Terabytes of space. My next upgrade will be a 10,000 RPM hard drive that I will install my boot partition on. Lastly for a display I use a Samsung 226BW 22 inch monitor which I absoltely love. Samsung always has brilliant colors on their monitors and mine uses a high contrast ratio and 2ms response time. My original build price for this rig was around $1200 but all parts were not added until later. Its hard to say what the final total is for the computer as I constantly upgrade and buy new toys for it. Thanks for reading about my rig, enjoy the pictures below.

A Bit About the Clan and This Site…

Xplicit Clan is a clan that has made their name mainly in the world of counter strike source. We started about 5 years ago as a small group of friends that liked to play the games zombie mod. Soon we started to grow an so did our desire to expand our gaming horizons. This is what brought along our first gungame install. Gungame is a mod for the counter strike source engine that allows a player to work his way threw levels of guns until he/she gets to knife level. After recieving a knife kill the player is awarded a win and the map is reset for a new set of rounds. Once our gungame was installed is when we started to become popular. Our clan started to grow and we had a popular server almost any night of the week.

Unfortunately we have been victim to many server changes and of course the bustle of life. At times our memberships fell and we almost vanished as a team all together. Some stayed strong though and never droped the xplicit clan name. Those few that choose to stay with us always fought to keep the clan alive. Now with those efforts we are back on the map with a large number of memberships and our name stands tall in the world of counter strike and other gaming realms again. Thank you to those members that stuck through the hard times and made us who we are today.

You can now find Xplicit Clan playing counter strike on a daily basis. We have a couple of servers up so be sure to search the site for them. We also like to scrim and hold gungame tournaments. If you would like to participate or challenge us to a match please register and post on the forums. We also extend our gaming into other platforms as well. You can find the clan in games like left 4 dead, team fortress 2, cs 1.6, or on xbox live playing gears of war or halo 3. We also have support for less multiplayer gaming also.

On this site you will find news articles, links to downloads, tutorials, inside tips and many other helpful tools to improve your gaming experience.
